Andy Baker, originally from Sheffield and now based in Gloucestershire, England, has carved out a significant niche both in creative industries and the educational sector. After graduating from the University of Central Lancashire, Andy founded Resound Media in 2005, initiating a journey filled with creative innovation and the realisation of dreams.

Foundational Ventures

• Resound Media: Serving as an umbrella, Resound Media has launched several initiatives including the artist development company Sound Consultancy in 2010, which was the first UK-based full-service agency outside of London.

• Third Floor Productions: With the support of a dedicated team, Third Floor Productions worked on over 1000 recordings as well as hundreds of music videos, seeing many songs achieve national radio play and placement on Spotify editorial playlists.

• Storm 5 Management: Notable achievements include managing award-winning Christian/Gospel artist Philippa Hanna and securing major brand endorsements including musical instruments and vehicles for other artists.

• Rocket Fuel: This crowdfunding platform has empowered independent music artists to raise over a million dollars for their projects, demonstrating a commitment to supporting artists’ creative aspirations.

• Homegrown Worship: Andy’s personal passion project that evolved into a global platform, sharing new worship songs weekly and gathering a community of over 100 songwriters and creatives worldwide.

Creative Achievements

• Songwriting and Production: With over a thousand songs written and produced, Andy’s prolific output is showcased through initiatives like Homegrown Worship, where he released a new song weekly for an entire year.

• Innovative Projects: On April 1, 2020, with a little help from his friends, Andy wrote, recorded, and released an album of ten brand new songs in just 24 hours. This impressive feat showcased how the boundaries of creativity can be pushed further.

• Live Music: Having booked over 1500 events in more than 20 countries, Andy has also assisted numerous unsigned artists in securing support slots on tours with well-known artists such as Lionel Richie, Leona Lewis, and Little Mix.

• Innovation Funding: In 2024, Resound Media secured funding through the Creative Catalyst programme from Innovate UK, enhancing the development of Lurnex for those in the creative industries.

Personal Life

Andy is married to Emily, who is the creative lead at Lurnex. Her innovative illustrations have brought to life characters such as Principal Peptalk, enhancing the learner’s experience. Together, they live in Gloucestershire with their two daughters and are active contributors to their local community and church.

His transformative influence on both the creative and training sectors highlights his dedication to fostering talent and reshaping how educational content is delivered, making significant strides in enhancing learning through technology and creativity.
