One of the most important lessons any business owner must learn is to Measure The Right Metrics. Social Media platforms place the number of followers we have so prominently in a bid that we would compete with others for perceived importance.

We’re all in a popularity contest we didn’t know that we’d entered.

Social media numbers are worth measuring along with your income, expenditure, landing page conversion rate, customer churn and the live-time value of your average client. 

It also makes sense to track how many hours you work, what you spent those hours on and how many days you have off each month to spend time with friends and family away from the office. It’s good to think about the qualitative as well as the quantitative.
