Before I tell you, I’d like to share a story...

I went down to the DIY store and bought some boxes and packing tape and started at it.

I decided to just start throwing things in boxes. I was in a rush because I had other things to do and just wanted to get going

I started in the bedroom, then the kitchen, the family room… you get the point. I just put everything in boxes and taped them shut.

The moving truck showed up, the guys loaded things up and off we went to our new house.

That’s when the problems started.

When they were moving all the boxes in, they kept asking which rooms to put each box in.

I didn't know.

In my hustle and hurry, I didn’t even think about labelling them properly.

They ended up piling everything in the middle of the house and left me to deal with it myself.

All I wanted to do was get settled in and now it was going to be days until the place was even liveable.

If only I had taken the time to plan and structure my move properly, I would have known which room to put each box in.
